An intraocular lens (10) which includes a double piano surface is shown and described. A first posterior surface (14) is used as a lens to focus light on a patient's retina, the second posterior surface (16) is used to provide a continuous sealing contact with the patient's posterior lens capsule (18) at all time. A method of performing an intraocular lens implant by the use of a lens which seals the patients posterior lens capsule to the lens and which is suitable for discission by laser radiation or surgery after the implantation is completed is shown and described. |
