PURPOSE:To simplify the structure to reduce assembly processes of a telescopic vehicle height adjusting device by providing a levelling mechanism that positions a piston rod at a predetermined height in the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When a piston rod 2 moves downward, a free piston 41 contacts a stopper 43 to cause a gap between its lower end and the upper end of the engagement section 45 of the piston rod 2. The pressurized oil O flows into a lower chamber B through the inside of the piston rod 2 to cause the gas pressure in an accumulator 11 to rise to gradually lift the piston rod 2. When the engagement section 45 contacts the lower end of the free piston 41 at a predetermined height, the supply of the oil pressure is terminated. On the other hand, when the piston rod 2 moves upward, the free piston 41 is lifted up to allow an oil path in a small diameter section 14a of a control rod 14 to be formed, and the pressure oil is returned to a hydraulic circuit O to lower the vehicle height. In this manner, the structure can be simplified and assembly processes can be reduced. |
