PURPOSE:To improve an effect of electromagnetic stirring and cooling power by uniting a copper alloy inside plate having prescribed electrical conductivity and thickness and a nonmagnetic stainless steel back plate to one body by means of nonmagnetic Ni-Cr alloy bolts. CONSTITUTION:A mold panel for continuous casting consists of the two-layered construction in which a copper alloy inside plate 1 and a nonmagnetic stainless steel back plate 2 are united to one body by means of nonmagnetic Ni-Cr alloy bolts. Said plate 1 is formed of a copper alloy having 30-70% (IACS%) electrical conductivity and 5-25mm. thickness. The bolts 4 are welded and erected by means of an arc stud welding method on the rear of the plate 1 and cooling water passages A are provided to said back plate. |
