<p>PURPOSE:To prevent heat scratch by measuring the temperature of a steel strip and the concentration of a rolling oil at the outlet side of a rolling mill and spraying cold water on the surface of strip at the inlet side of each mill while keeping said temperature and concentration within the prescribed ranges. CONSTITUTION:The temperature TA of a steel strip in rolling is measured by a thermometer 2 provided to the outlet side of a mill 1, and is sent to an operation circuit 3. The difference between the maximum value of the temperature TO of strip free from generating heat scratch and that of TA, is sent to a decision circuit 4. A densitometer 12 is provided to a tank 11, and the difference between the maximum value of a detected signal CA and a prescribed concentration CO is calculated by an operation circuit 13, and is sent to the circuit 4. Then, plus or minus of each of TO-TA, and CO-CA is decided by the circuit 4. For preventing the generation of heat scratch; the temperature of strip and the concentration of rolling oil are automatically controlled basing on said decisions, by spraying cold water from a spray onto the strip, and opening and closing a solenoid valve 14 used for feeding an original liquid from an origianl tank 10.</p> |
