EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION DEVICE FOR DIESEL ENGINE

PURPOSE:To make an adverse effect due to a variation in pressure loss in a filter preventable, by discharging EGR gas out of an exhaust passage at the upstream side of a particulate collecting filter upon regulation to atmospheric pressure. CONSTITUTION:Car exhaust prior to passing through a Diesel particulate collecting filter 8 is regulated to atmospheric pressure at a pressure regulating valve 20. Afterward, it is brought back to an air charging passage lying between a suction throttle device 4 and a Diesel engine body 6 via a flow control valve 101 which keeps a flow passage sectional area to the flow passage sectional area based on the lever opening of a fuel-injection pump 16 and an engine speed whereby controls EGR gas.
