PURPOSE:To prevent color inks from mixing with each other and maintain favorable printing quality, by affixing an ink-impermeable film to a surface of an ink ribbon on the hammer side at a hammer printing position in an impact color printer. CONSTITUTION:A color ink ribbon 3 is passed in the direction of an arrow through a passage between an impact hammer 1 and a printing paper 2. A ribbon-feeding roller 5 is driven to rotate in the direction of an arrow to thereby feed the ribbon 3. An inking roller 6 is pressed against the roller 5 through the ribbon 3, has an axis of rotation parallel with that of the roller 5, and is rotated in the direction of an arrow. The width of the roller 6 is equal to that of the ribbon 3, the roller 6 is divided into four sections in the width direction thereof, and is provided with 4 color ink holding parts 6A, 6B, 6C, 6D in a belt form along the rotating direction thereof. |
