PURPOSE:To prevent a developing and cleaning device from failing to clean the end parts of a photosensitive body by providing a cleaning means which faces the end parts of the photosensitive body and remove toner sticking to the photosensitive body behind a transfer process. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning brush 20 is constituted by providing a fur brush to a rotating body and provided facing the range where the end part of the photosensitive body 3 is not cleaned with a developing roller 53. The toner sticking to both end parts of the photosensitive body except the image formation area after development and transfer processes is removed by the rotation of the cleaning brush 20. Then, the photosensitive body 3 after passing through a destaticizer 7 and an optical destaticizer 8 faces the developing and cleaning device 5 to remove the toner corresponding to an image which is not transferred at a transfer part and is held in readiness for the next image formation. Therefore, the evil influence of the toner sticking to the end parts of the no-image formation part of the photosensitive body 3 is eliminated and an invariably clear image is obtained. |
