PURPOSE:To perform a signal processing in accordance with a content variation of an output signal due to a target material and signal reading out method, etc. by varying a relative phase of a reference signal for synchronizing and a chopper switch signal. CONSTITUTION:An output of a reference pulse generator 21 of a synchronizing signal generating circuit 12 is divided by frequency dividers 22-24 to supply them respectively as synchronizing signals of respective part of an infrared rays image pickup device to a deflection power source 16, a cathode power source 15 and signal processing section 8, etc. On the other hand, an output of a frequency divider 25 is phase shifted desirably by a phase shifter 26 and supplied to a phase comparing circuit outputting a chopper switching signal. Consequently, the desired variation of the relative phase of the synchronizing signal and the chopper signal becomes possible freely, and the signal processing corresponding to the content variation of the output signal due to the target material and the signal reading out method, etc. in a pyroelectric apparatus for picking up infrared image can be performed. Similar phenomena are observed also in the variation in the relative phase by shifting the phase of the synchronizing signal. |
