PURPOSE:To provide the titled health food useful for the maintenance and improvement of hepatic function, by mixing corbicula extract with an extract of cephalopod at a specific weight ratio. CONSTITUTION:The extract of corbicula is mixed with the extract of cephalopod (e.g. cuttlefish extract, octopus extract, etc.) at a weight ratio of 90:10-10:90 based on nearly the same water-content. It is desired to provide a fortifying health food having high content of taurine (a kind of amino acid) and rich in essential amino acid originated from animal proteins for a person feared to cause the lowering of hepatic function, e.g. a person subjected to extremely high stress and high alcohol intake proportional to the stress. The extract of corbicula has high taurine content and the taurine exhibits detoxication effect by bonding with bile. The extract of cephalopod supplies the components deficient in the extract of corbicula and accordingly, the preventive and remedying effect of hepatic diseases can be attained by the synergistic effect of both extracts. |
