PURPOSE:To combine a pneumatic spring characteristic with a coil spring characteristic so as to obtain a preferable spring characteristic, by providing a helically formed spring main unit to be integrally connected with a cylindrical structure formed by an elastic material in suitable thickness and constituting a suspension spring. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic shock absorber is constituted by arranging a suspension spring 2 in a damper part 1. Here the suspension spring 2, comprising a spring main unit 20 used as a coil spring and a cylindrical structure 21 constituting a pneumatic spring, provides the spring main unit 20 to be integrally connected with the cylindrical structure 21. Then the spring main unit 20, being formed by a material such as metal or the like, urges the damper part 1 in its extending direction through a bottom guide 10a and an upper guide 12a. On the other hand, the cylindrical structure 21, being formed by a material of rubber or the like, is enabled to extend and contract in accordance with extension and contraction of the spring main unit 20 further to resist against internal force from the insides of an upper air chamber A and a bottom oil chamber 2 in the damper part 1. In this way, a preferable spring characteristic is obtained by combining a pneumatic spring characteristic with a coil spring characteristic. |
