<p>The invention relates to a process for carrying out biological processes in an aeration chamber and in a settling chamber, which is arranged concentrically outside the aeration chamber on its upper periphery and is connected to the latter, by introduction of the crude liquid stream which is to be treated into the aeration chamber and, during this, contacting the liquid containing the microorganisms with oxygen-containing gas streams which are introduced distributed over the base of the aeration chamber, and mixing, returning the microorganisms from the settling chamber into the aeration chamber and removing the purified liquid stream and the produced microorganisms from the system and separating off the latter from the liquid, in which the introduction of the crude liquid stream to be treated is carried out distributed over the casing of the aeration chamber, no more than 1.1 times the liquid introduced into the process is passed from the axis of the aeration chamber into the settling chamber, the return of the separating-out microorganisms which separate out by free settling takes place into the aeration chamber from the lower part of the settling chamber, the removal of the purified liquid stream, with removal of microorganisms therefrom, is carried out through an overflow, and the removal of the produced microorganisms is carried out with a liquid stream removed from the axis of the container. …<IMAGE>… </p> |
