PURPOSE:To eliminate the trouble of a time correcting operation by adding a time signal detecting function and making an automatic correction on the time signal. CONSTITUTION:A time signal tone from a communication medium is made into a voltage signal by an acoustic voltage transducing part 1, the signal of a specific frequency is extracted from the obtained voltage signal through a filter part 2, and its waveform is shaped 4. Then, a signal discrimination part 5 decides whether the waveform shaped signal is a time signaling signal or not to reduce the danger of malfunction due to an acoustic signal other than the time signaling signal, thereby resetting the minute and second digit counter parts of a timepiece body 7 simultaneously with the start of the long tone in the ending of the time signal only when the discriminated acoustic signal is the time signal. |
