PURPOSE:To maintain the battery performance normally even when arranging a gas absorption lead storage battery in lateral by forming a partially thickened section at the section for partitioning a battery jar into plural cells while making a vent through said thick section. CONSTITUTION:The interior of battery jar 1 is partitioned into plural cells through partitioning section 3 where a thick section 4 is formed while projecting partially to the front and rear and a vent 5 is made through the thick section 4. Then power generating elements comprising a positive plate, a negative plate and a separator impregnated with electrolyte are contained in respective cell thus to form a gas absorption led storage battery. Consequently, even when arranging the battery horizontally such that the partition board 3 will be in horizontal, the electrolyte is hard to move to the lower cell because of the thick section 4 resulting in a position-free lead storage battery without sacrifice of the battery performance. |
