PURPOSE:The titled composition providing a film having improved transparency, hardness, etc., obtained by subjecting a mixture of a specific monomer blend and an unsaturated polyester to graft polymerization in a specified aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent in the presence of a solvent-soluble vinyl resin dispersion stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:(C) 70-20wt% mixture of 50-95wt% blend of (iii) an N-alkoxymethylated monomer of alpha,beta-monoethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid amide and (iv) a monomer except the component iii and 5-50wt% solvent-insoluble unsaturated polyester is subjected to graft polymerization in the presence of (B) 30-80wt% solvent-soluble vinyl resin dispersion stabilizer obtained by copolymerizing (i) an alpha,beta-monoethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid hydroxyalkyl ester monomer with (ii) a monomer except the component i in (A) an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent to dissolve the components i-iv but not the components B and C, to give the desired composition of polyester modified vinyl polymer. |
