PURPOSE:To enable a roller to be continually forced to be suitably pressed and supported, by extending one end of a coil spring, which forces the roller, transmitting torque between a clutch outer and a clutch inner, to be pressed and supported, and inserting this extended part into a groove provided in a side wall of the clutch outer. CONSTITUTION:Torque is transmitted between a clutch outer 2 and a clutch inner 4 through rollers 3 forced to be pressed and supported by a coil spring 1. Here one end face of the spring 1 is folded back to the internal side of a coil further extended to the axial direction of the coil, forming a protruded part 1a. Then the spring, inserting this protruded part 1a into a U-shaped groove 2a formed in an end face of the clutch outer 2, is assembled to a clutch cover 6 through washers 5, 5'. In this way, stable performance of overrunning is obtained by preventing the coil spring 1 from its buckling, tumbling, falling off, etc. by the protruded part 1a so as to force the roller 3 to be always pressed and supported in a fixed direction. |
