The outdoor h.v. switchgear (1) has its circuit breakers, monitors and other components mounted on a foundation. The latter consists of two bars or strips (12) on an elastic base. The shared foundation also has two or more additional bars whose ends rest on the main bars. The two sets of bars are held to the ground by tie rods. The advantage lies in reducing the amount of work and material required to establish a foundation for h.v. switchgear.
