<p>PURPOSE:To reliably feed out a sheet without miltifeed and misfeed by controlling contact pressure between a sheet and a sheet feed roller according to the sheet size. CONSTITUTION:In a sheet feeder in which sheets (a) stacked on the base plate 2 are pressed to a sheet feed roller 3 and the sheets are fed out one by one sheet feed-out operation of the roller 3, a plurality of spaces 9 different in thickness are provided, and one of the spacers is seclected and fixed to the base plate according to the sheet size so that the position of the upper most surface of the stacked sheets (a) is changed by the thickness of the spacer. Thus, the contact pressure between the sheets (a) and the roller 3 is made appropriate regardless of the sheet size. Accordingly, the sheets can be fed out reliably without multifeed and misfeed.</p> |
