<p>PURPOSE:To separate a sheet to be carried sufficiently from a sheet carrying belt without employing a gripper, by providing a conductive member extending in the perpendicular direction while grounding said member. CONSTITUTION:The recording paper 101 adsorbed electrostatically to a belt 13 is discharged by a guide 17 and self float. Alternatively, it is floated by the conductive member provided above the belt to be discharged onto the discharge guide 21 along a guide 20. An electrostatic latent image is formed by negative toner onto a photosensitive drum 34. While the recording paper 101 carried by the belt 13 while being adsorbed in previous process is charged positively through corona discharge from the qrid 16 of transfer charger at the fiber of belt and the rear face of recording paper 101 while passing through the mesh of belt, thus to transfer said negative toner electrostatically. At the same time, positive charges in the fiber of belt 13 will produce electrostatic force against the negative charges thus to adsorb the recording paper 101 to the belt 13.</p> |
