PURPOSE:To rapidly and reliably eject columnar bodies, by a method wherein, when a chuck member, grasping the columnar bodies, such as reedless resistors, is moved backward, a press pin is pressed by means of a resilient body. CONSTITUTION:A resistor R after color coating is dried by a drying furnace while a conveying body 1, turned over by means of a pulley, is being horizontally conveyed above a color coating device. After it is dried, the conveying body 1 for the resistor R is turned over by means of the pulley and a control part 15 of each of chuck members 12a and 12b is moved onto the slanted surface of a cam, and this releases the resistor R through backward movement of the chuck members 12a and 12b against the elasticity of compression springs 26a and 26b. Resulting from such backward movement, a press pin 20 is relatively moved forward through the elasticity of a compression spring 22 to rapidly separate and drop the resistor R from a grasping surface 16 at the forward end of each of the chuck members 12a and 12b. |
