<p>PURPOSE:To realize miniaturization of the entire part of the electric hot water apparatus by embedding in a vessel a number of capsules made of a synthetic resin, each of which has a number of grooves on the surface thereof and in each of which a latent heat system heat accumulating material is sealed. CONSTITUTION:A protective net 11 is stretched over the upper part of a heater 3, and a number of capsules 12..., each of which contains therein a heat accumulating material, are placed on the net. These capsules are made of a synthetic resin having a water resistance and a stability for chemicals, and are blow molded articles of polyethylene, for example. A number of grooves 13 are provided on the surface of each capsule so as to widen the surface area of the capsule per capacity and increase the heat exchange efficiency. A latent heat system heat accumulating material 14 is contained in the capsule 12. As the latent heat system heat accumulating material, one having a melting point near to the utilizing temperature is preferable. For example, Ba(OH)2. 8H2O and the like having a melting point of approximately 80 deg.C are particularly preferable. If such a latent heat system heat accumulating material is utilized, when the temperature of supply water is selected to 25 deg.C and that of hot water supply to 85 deg.C, the capacity of the hot water storing vessel can be reduced from 400l to 128l.</p> |
