The arrangement comprises a pressure vessel a pulp e.g. alkaline pulp, stone materials and a filling lid, circulation pump with a control device and pipe connections, valves cleanable filter rinsing outlet. The alkaline pulp is used to increase the alkalinity of ground water. The filter with alkaline pulp is connected partly to the lower outlet of the riser pipe of the pressure vessel and partly to its top. The circulation pump pumps a part of the water content of the pressure vessel through the filter during the time necessary to fully treat the water.
