PURPOSE:To avoid unnaturality of an image due to missing of a chrominance component by dividing a corresponding part of a color filter to one picture element of a solid-state image pickup element into three and arranging one color at the center and other color on both ends. CONSTITUTION:A color filter part to each picture element is divided into three, one color filter is arranged at the center and other color filter is arranged at both ends and also and the color filter is constituted by shifting picture element horizontally for one picture element's share between the 1st field F1 and the 2nd field S1. While the filter structure of ABA, CDC...is formed in the field F1, the filter is formed as CDC, ABA...in the field S1. Since a missing color between the 1st field and the 2nd field is interleaved through the constitution above, the missing color is interpolated because of one's visual operation and afterimage of a cathode-ray tube and the image quality is improved remarkably. |
