The invention relates to an individual or collective anti-theft device for garments displayed on hangers. According a preferred embodiment of the invention, the device consists of hanger bodies 1 fixed to a support tube 2 inside which swivels a hollow shaft 8 to which are fixed: a collective articulated arm 7 equipped with blocks 13 for immobilising the jackets, dresses or coats against one of the sides of the hangers, and levers 14 passing through the support tube 2 via holes 15 intended to clamp trousers onto the rod of the hangers. The rotation of the hollow shaft 8 is ensured by a jack 9 and its immobilisation in a secure position by a magnetic bolt 10. The device may be remote-controlled. Principal application: fitting-out of hanger carriers. <IMAGE>
