PURPOSE:To provide a pet food suitable as a side dish, etc., by compounding animal proteins with vegetables each having proper size and shape, in a state containing specific amounts of food fibers and water. CONSTITUTION:Animal proteins (e.g. meat of cattle or poultry, fish meat, milk, egg, etc.) and vegetables (e.g. potato, carrot, green peas, etc.) are cut or crushed to an extent to enable the discernment of the origin. The above materials are if necessary mixed with wheat embryo, algae fiber and water to obtain a pet food having a food fiber content of >=0.5% and a water-content of >=78%. The above pet food is preferably mixed further with a thickener, stabilizer, seasoning liquid, etc., sealed in vacuum and retorted before marketed. |
