PURPOSE:To prevent unevenness in copied image density due to the position of a photosensitive drum, etc., by forming a photosensitive layer on the outside of a tightly enclosed vessel, such as photosensitive drum, sealing up a heat medium in the inside, and rendering the whole surface of the photosensitive layer controllable to a specified uniform temp. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer 2 is formed, on the outer circumference of, e.g., the tightly enclosed cylindrical vessel 1, and the inside is filled with a heat medium 3 made of a poroud material or fibers, and a heater 4 is installed in the center. One side face of the vessel 1 is provided with heat releasing fins 5. The medium 3 is heated by using a liquid fluorocarbon, alcohol, ester, oil, or the like, and when it is cold, all the surface of the photosensitive layer 2 is heated uniformly to a temp. of >=20 deg.C by energizing the heater 4. When it is hot, the fins 5 are cooled to keep all the surface of the layer 2 to a uniform temp. of <=36 deg.C. As a result, a constant image high in quality can be obtained by preventing uneven density, etc., in developing the photosensitive layer 2. |
