PURPOSE:To enhance photosensitivity, potential retentivity, durability, etc. especially at the time of positive electrostatic charging in an amorphous Si laminate type photosensitive body by specifying, especially, the C content of a charge transfer layer, and a kind and concn. of each dope component of a charge generating layer and a charge blocking layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body superior in heat stability and mechanical strength, etc., too, is obtained by forming on a conductive substrate 1, a charge blocking layer 5 made of amorphous SiC:H or SiC:H:F contg. 200-2,000ppm element of group IIIA of the periodic table, such as B; a charge transfer layer 2 made of amorphous SiC:H or SiC:H:F contg. 10-30atom% C and 5-100ppm element of group IIIA of the periodic table, such as B; a charge generating layer 3 made by amorphous Si:H or Si:H:F contg. a comparatively small amt. of element of group VA of the periodic table, such as P; and finally, a surface modified layer 4 made of amorphous SiC:H or SiN:H:F in these order. |
