PURPOSE:To attain to enhance dimensional accuracy and quality, by using a platinum wire (or a metal wire based on platinum) not reacting with a sintered body at all. CONSTITUTION:In forming a high temp. hydrogen sensor element using a proton conductive solid oxide sintered substance based on strontium and cerium, the sintered body is baked in a baking oven in a state suspended in midair by a platinum wire or a metal wire based on platinum passed through the upper part of the sintered body. The baking oven is constituted of a refractory wall 1 and a protruded refractory wall 1' is provided to the upper part of said wall 1 so as to construct a high alumina support rod 3 to said wall 1'. On the other hand, two piercing holes 6 are provided to the upper parts of a sensor element sintered body 5 and the platinum wires 4 are passed through said holes 6 to be connected to the support rod 3 while the sensor element sintered body 5 is baked by a heater 2 in a state suspended in midair in the baking oven. After baking, the piercing holes 6 are cut to obtain a product. |
