PURPOSE:To enable to control the fuel injection timing to minimize emission of white smoke, by comparing output signals of various sensors with respective reference values by an electronic control unit, and producing a fuel injection timing determining value stored in memory at the time of warming up an engine after cold starting of the same. CONSTITUTION:An electronic timer 2 is provided for controlling the injection timing of a fuel injection pump 1, and an injection timing signal S2 is given to an electronic control unit 3 by detecting the fuel injection timing by an injection timing sensor 8 and an engine-speed sensor 9. Further, an engine-speed signal S1 produced by the engine-speed sensor 9, an oil-temperature signal S4 produced by an oil-temperature sensor 7 disposed in an oil gallery 6 and an engine- load signal S3 produced by a load sensor 10 are also applied to the electronic control unit 3. At the time of warming up a diesel engine after cold starting of the same, the fuel injection timing is so controlled to minimize emission of white smoke by controlling a solenoid valve 5 of the electronic timer 2 by producing the fuel injection timing stored in the electronic control unit 3. |
