This meter can be used in cases where the voltage and current measurement signals are frequency modulated. The meter comprises a controlled demodulator 1, 3 delivering demodulated voltage signals D<+>, D<->, and a frequency multiplier 7 for multiplying the frequency of the current signal Si by a constant factor. A coincidence logic circuit 4a, 4b, 6a, 6b receives the demodulated voltage signals and the multiple frequency current signal. An increment-decrement counter 8 evaluates, at the output from the coincidence circuit, the total number of pulses, which is representative of the energy produced over a certain integration interval. <IMAGE>
