PURPOSE:To simplify structure and improve reliability on electricity supply, by providing the pipe guide with an inlet and an outlet for cooling water to cool an electricity supplying member which supplies electricity to a wire electrode within the pipe guide. CONSTITUTION:An electricity supplying member 70 for supplying electricity to a wire electrode 10 is provided within the pipe guide 64 in which the wire electrode 10 is inserted. An inlet 74 and an outlet 75 for cooling water are provided in the pipe guide for cooling the electricity supplying member 70. By the described arrangement, the need for providing the pipe with cuts for electricity supply and cooling the electricity supplying member 70 and the need for the opening and closing mechanism for the electricity supplying member at upward and downward movement of the pipe have been eliminated, and thus, the structure has been simplified and the electricity supply is ensured and reliability thereon has been improved. If the thickness of the work is varied, the position of the pipe guide can be adjusted according, and therefore, machining with higher accuracy is made possible. Besides, since the pressure of the working fluid can be increased, machining at higher speeds is also made possible. |
