The clamping tool serves to clamp, for example, a saw blade (1) between a fixed bearing surface (2) on the carrying shank (3) and a mating surface (4) adjustable back and forth on the carrying shank according to arrows (5). The carrying shank (3) is designed as a guide cylinder. Guided in a reciprocating manner in this guide cylinder is a piston (6) which is connected to the mating surface (4) and which, on the one hand, is under the pressure of a disc-spring stack (7) acting in the clamping direction and in doing so attempting to adjust the mating surface in the direction of arrow (5a) and which, on the other hand, for load relief can be put under a hydraulic pressure acting in the direction of the stress relief. In such an arrangement, no friction losses occur during clamping. <IMAGE>
