Stable formulations of N-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-N'-methoxy-N'-methylurea (linuron) and 2,6-dinitro-N,N-dipropyl-4-trifluoromethylaniline (trifluralin) in emulsion

The invention relates to stable herbicide formulations based on N-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-N'-methoxy-N'-methylurea ("linuron") and 2,6-dinitro-N,N-dipropyl-4-trifluoromethylaniline ("trifluralin"). These formulations contain 20 to 36% by weight of trifluralin, 5 to 12.4% by weight of linuron, 17 to 36.1% by weight of acetophenone, 5 to 10.5% by weight of at least one emulsifier and 5 to 53% by weight of xylene or another solvent compatible with acetophenone. These formulations, after emulsification in water so that they can be spread on the ground, are stable, since they do not give rise to the formation of crystals even 17 hours after the preparation of the emulsion.
