PURPOSE:To attain any of both a reliability priority mode and a speed priority mode by means of almost similar read processing by reading information automatically according to the mode form discriminating the recorded information separated in the reliability priority mode form and the speed priority mode form. CONSTITUTION:Caption 1 is the reliability priority mode and 2 is the speed priority mode, (a) is a sectional signal, (b) is a header provided at the head of each block and (c) is an information block. The 0, 1 in the (c) is identification information (F) representing whether the said block is the first block repeated twice or the latter block. In reading, the header is read at first, and when F=1, the succeeding 1-block data is read and in this case, an abnormal signal discriminating processing or the like is conducted so as to detect the error. If no error is detected, F1 is set and the block of the succeeding F=0 is skipped. In the information recorded by the speed priority mode, since the relation of F=0 is established always, when any error is detected, the error processing interrupting the information read or the like is conducted. |
