PURPOSE:To attain easily a substitute answer connection by retrieving the contents of a storage device and deriving the same answer number as a substitute answer group number when no dialing is performed for a specific time after a calling subscriber is connected. CONSTITUTION:When a dial-tone connection is made with the handset off the hook of a telephone set 2 and dialing is not performed for a specific time, whether the same number as the substitute answer group number of the telephone set 2 is stored in the storage device of an automatic exchange or not is retrieved as to addresses A1-Am. Consequently, when the substitute answer group number coincident with that of the telephone set 2 is detected, a substitute answer connection of the telephone set terminal number is made. Consequently, the need to provided a special number is eliminated and an operator, therefore, need not know the special number. |
