摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory dot shape, prolong the useful life of a stylus and enable low-voltage driving, by using a resistor layer comprising specified constituents, a transfer layer, and a conductive layer as an intermediate layer between the resistor layer and the transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The recording material 1 has a three-layer construction consisting of the resistor layer 11 comprising an aromatic polyamide or an aliphatic polyamide and conductive carbon, a conductive layer as the intermediate layer 12 and the transfer layer 13 comprising a thermoplastic component and a coloring component. The resistor layer 11 is so constructed that mechanical strength of the recording material is enhanced, the material can be easily handled during transportation or the like, and the surface of the resistor layer is little damaged when passing an electric current. The intermediate layer 12 can lower the resistance level of the recording material, thereby enabling recording with a low impressed voltage, and since the surface of the conductive layer is smooth, an ink layer can be favorably released, and the ink can be transferred uniformly. Further, the transfer layer 13 constitutes a thermal transfer ink with a portion o the thermoplastic component present in the vicinity thereof. Accordingly, sharp ink transfer can be performed with a low impressed voltage, and the useful life of a stylus can be prolonged.
