A limit position switch for an electrical drive, especially for roller doors or the like, having a threaded spindle which is supported in a retaining frame such that it can rotate and on which there are arranged two limit position nuts, which can be fixed and are provided with inclined surfaces, and, between them, a switching nut which can be displaced axially by the threaded spindle, the switching nut being provided on both sides with actuating means which can in each case be moved by the inclined surfaces of the associated limit position nut, and which are in each case operationally connected to a switching panel to which in each case at least one switch is allocated, the threaded spindle furthermore being connected at one end to a drive wheel, the connection between the drive wheel and the threaded spindle being constructed as a detachable coupling.
