The invention relates to a method for mixing two media. The invention further relates to a mixing cyclone for implementing the method, said cyclone, in order to achieve mixing ratios below 1:5, being characterised by a lower essentially cylindrical part (1) and an adjoining upper part (2), widened like a funnel, of the mixing cyclone, by a liquid inlet (6), which debouches tangentially into the lower part at the bottom end thereof, and an outlet pipe (3), which is arranged centrally and terminates above the debouchure in the lower part, for the mixture, and by a feed device (5), which is provided above the funnel-shaped part, for the solid to be admixed. <IMAGE>
