PURPOSE:To reduce the residual stress which will cause deformation of various parts by journaling a pair of vertical rollers and a pair of horizontal varnish rollers rotatably while making the underside supporting roller coaxial with the varnish roller and making the diameter of the underside supporting roller smaller than that of the varnish roller. CONSTITUTION:A varnish device is arranged in the advancing direction of slitted strip board 6. Consequently, the slitted strip boards 6 are supported as it is between the supporting rollers 1a, 1b and while advancing furthermore, the cutting edge sections 7 at the opposite sides of the strip board 6 are pressed against the pressing face 5 of the varnish roller 2 to be applied with varnishing from the burr 8 side to the opposite side 9. The strength of varnishing can be regulated through the positional relation between the strip board 6 and the pushing position against the inclined pressing face 5. Since it is varnished continuously from the burr 8 side to the opposite side 9 by means of the varnish roller 2, the deformation stress applied downward at the opposite sides of the strip board 6 by means of the vertical cutters of slitter is reduced resulting in reduction of widening, twisting, lateral shrinkage, longitudinal warp or distortion. |
