The invention relates to a facade lift with a carriage, in particular a track-bound carriage, capable of travelling on a building roof. To make it possible to move the cradle into any desired angular positions and at any desired distance with respect to the facade, there is proposed, on the gib, a rotary device which is fixed to the free end of the gib so as to be pivotable about a horizontal axis. The horizontal alignment of the cradle is retained by means of an additional gib and hoisting ropes. <IMAGE>
