<p>A synchronous start-stop type data communication system in which bi-directional data transmission is conducted through a single communication line (30) between a master device (10) and a slave device (20). Start signals X1,X2 for controlling receiving and transmission by the slave device (20) are issued only from the master device (10). The periods for transmission from the master device (10) and the transmission from the slave device (20) are provided following the periods of transmission of the start signals. The transmissions between the master device (10) and the slave device (20) are repeated in this manner.</p> |
