In a flexible magnetic foil (1) for therapeutic purposes, which is made of a rubber-like, flexible plastic in which permanently magnetic ferrite particles are embedded, the area of the foil (1) facing the treatment surface is magnetised with magnetic poles (2) of changing polarity, the poles having the shape of a geometric structure, such as rings (3), sectors (4), quadrilaterals (5) and the like arranged concentrically to one another. Such a foil may also be composed of several, individual foil parts. Due to this pole arrangement the magnetic foil can be applied in any position to the body part to be treated, because magnetic poles of changing polarity act upon the blood vessels in every direction of blood flow. This achieves an optimum therapeutic effect. <IMAGE>
