In a window crank, of which the crank arm equipped with an internal toothing and with an knob grip is slipped onto a toothed crank axle, and in which a decorative cover which can be pushed onto the crank arm and which locks with this and provides an axial safeguard against unintentional pulling off is provided, it is proposed, to prevent uncontrolled tilting movements of the crank arm which cause disturbing noises in the toothing portion, to provide portions which are formed on both sides of an indentation providing the axial safeguard, extend curved in an approximately hook-shaped manner towards the crank axle, are spread apart resiliently when they run up against the crank axle and, with the cover pushed on, are supported on the crank axle with prestress.
