PURPOSE:To simply add and change over a disc drive with low cost by providing a changeover means selecting one of plural disc drives, especially different kind of FDDs, and controlling only the selected FDD. CONSTITUTION:A floppy disc controller 1 selects two sets of the FDDs A and B to read/write a data. The B drive side consists of a 5-inch FDD5 and a 8-inch FDD6. When a contact 3a is depressed toward a contact 3b in a selection switch 3, cables 7 and 9 are connected in a signal changeover device 2 and also an ''H'' status signal is fed to the floppy disc controller 1 via a cable 10. When the 3a is depressed toward a contact 3c side, the cables 8 and 7 are connected in the signal changeover device 2 and an ''L'' status signal is transmitted. |
