摘要 In order to compensate for the reactive power required during the starting phase of the short-circuit-rotor motor (2), a multi-stage capacitor assembly (3) is initially connected to the three-phase mains (1), separately from the motor (2) which is to be started, via a switching device (5). A few fractions of a second thereafter, the power circuit breaker (4) is closed in order to connect the motor (2) which is to be started to the mains (1). One compensation device (3, 5) is adequate for starting a plurality of motors (2, 2', 2") which are attached to the same mains (1). The capacitor assembly stages (3a, 3b, 3c) can be switched off successively as the motor (2) accelerates. <IMAGE>
