A runway for track buses on both sides of a rail runway with transverse sleepers laid in ballast, consisting of wooden beams which are arranged parallel to the rail runway, fastened on the sleepers, and serve as runway elements and the length of which corresponds approximately to the spacing of the sleeper central axes or to a multiple thereof, and in each case on both sides of the runway of a guide rail which runs parallel to the rail runway and is fastened on supports, is characterised in that the butt joints of the wooden beams are arranged in such a manner that they form no continuous joints across the runway perpendicularly to the direction of travel, and in that the supports holding the guide rail are essentially L-shaped and that one leg of the support is fastened to the underside of the wooden beams in the region between two transverse sleepers and has at least one web which is arranged essentially perpendicularly to the runway surface and which, pointing away from the underside of the wooden beams, projects into the ballast.
