PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium having high economy by forming the medium in such a manner that a pair of spiral recording tracks formed respectively to information forming layers facing each other intersect with each other when viewed through from above. CONSTITUTION:The recording tracks 5b are formed spirally on the information forming layers 5c formed to face each other on an optical disk 5. The tracks 5h are so formed as to bulge outward in the radial direction according to the extension along the clockwise direction when viewed from the lower surface on the upper information forming layer 5c. On the other hand, the recording tracks 5e are so formed as to bulge outward in the diametral direction according to the extension along the clockwise direction when viewed from above on the lower layer 5c as well. More specifically, the recording tracks 5e formed on the upper and lower layers 5c appear eventually to swirl in the directions opposite from each other when the disk 5 is viewed through from above. The upper and lower track layers 5h are thus formed by the same stamper and the improvement of economy is made possible. |
