The subject of the invention is an injection nozzle with a bevel seat (4) formed in the nozzle body (1), which seat merges, by way of a duct (6), with the injection apertures (7). The nozzle needle (2) has a tapered part (3) corresponding to the seat (4), to which part a shoulder (8) of tapered or cylindrical form is joined. In order to reduce the internal pressure losses, the maximum geometric cross section of the multi-hole injection nozzle Fmax between the minimum geometric cross section Fs min of the seat and the inlet of the injection apertures for a needle nominal stroke is equal to 0.8 to 1.7 times the minimum geometric cross section Fs min of the seat. The shoulder, with which the needle merges below the seat, may taper slightly outwards towards the needle end, the geometric cross section of the annular gap Fvo in the immediate vicinity of the inlet into the inlet apertures, for the nominal stroke of the needle, being equal to 1 to 1.5 times the geometric cross section Fo of the outlet apertures. <IMAGE>
