PURPOSE:To obtain a ghost canceller using an elastic surface wave variable delay device enabling to execute continuous delay and preventing ripple generation by using the conveolutional phenomenon of an elastic surface wave on a piezo- electric base board. CONSTITUTION:A video signal from an input 13 is divided into a pulse string having an equal interval T1 by a signal switch 19 and inputted to parallel stripe form electrodes 8, 8'. On the other hand, a multi-connected impulse having a generation period T1 which is obtained by separating a horizontal synchronizing pulse and delaying the pulse by a time to and inputted to the parallel stripe form electrodes 9, 9' through a switch 21 to execute the convolutional processing with the pulse string from the electrodes 8, 8'. In this case, the leading end of a succeeding signal pulse enters immediately after one signal pulse passes the semiconductor 6 to extract the pulse having a delay time to and the same waveform without mutual interference. By adding the outputs of the elements 6, 6', a continuous waveform delayed by the time to from an input video signal is obtained. |
