Ethernet is a local network for transfer of information between stations connected to a common data source. The Ethernet network can be equipped with a priority function that is able to prioritise certain packets of information over others. To facilitate interconnection of Ethernet networks both with and without the priority function, priority information packets in this invention are provided an interfering signal ahead of the packet's priority-determinant leading section.<IMAGE> |
