PURPOSE:To prevent unreasonable force from operating upon the optical fiber in an optical fiber cable by fitting a couple of supports and a tubular member around the optical fiber cable at a desired position, and thus attaching the tubular member. CONSTITUTION:The couple of supports 12 and 13 and heat-shrinkable tube 14 are fitted around the optical cable 11 from the end parts, and the heat-shrinkable tube 14 is attached to the outer circumferential surface of the cable 11 at the specific position where the cable 11 is expected to be supported by heating and shrinking the tube. Then, the 1st support 12 is put closer from one side to store the tube 11 in its recessed hole 15. The external surface of the end part is threaded into a male screw 16, and the 2nd support 13 is also put closer from the other side to engage the male screw threadably with the female screw threaded in the internal circumference of the end part, clamping them. Consequently, excessive clamping force is prevented from operating on the optical cable. |
